Puppy Linux is a small, fully featured, friendly, and easy to use Linux distribution which is ideal for older or slower computers. It runs as either a Live CD or can be fully installed, and is optimised for speed on lower specification hardware. 

Boot from a Live CD in just 30 seconds. Minimum RAM is just 32MB, or boot into a small 64MB ramdisk. Puppy is regularly updated and is well supported and documented. Puppy 'just works' with less hassle. More details are available from the Puppy Linux website.
